Arthur E. Noble 1941-2012 Arthur E. Noble, 70, a resident of Abbott Street in Bennington died Friday May 4, 2012, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center as a result of injuries he received in a motor vehicle accident. He was born in Bennington July 28, 1941, son of the late James and Veronica (Kelley) Noble. He received his education in Bennington and attended Bennington High School. During the Vietnam War, Arthur served in the United States Army Reserve from 1967 to 1971. Most recently, Art was employed as a cashier at Shaw's in Manchester. At the time of his accident he was driving to work. An avid outdoors man, Art enjoyed camping and riding his motorcycle. In earlier years he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include two children, Jennifer Noble of Bennington and Eric Noble and his wife Michelle of Fort Edward, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Jessica Noble of Winterville, N.C., and Mitchell and Caleb Noble of Springfield; three brothers, John Noble of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., James Noble of Key West, Fla., and Robert Noble of Bennington; a sister, Helena Hogan of Pownal; two half-brothers, Richard Noble and Mark Noble of Bennington; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. At the request of Mr. Noble there will be no calling hours or funeral services. If friends desire, contributions in memory of Arthur E.
