Obituary Condolences

ARLINGTON -- Arthur Stanlick, 86, formerly of Jefferson Township died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington. He was 86. He was born in the Upper Berkshire Valley section of Jefferson, N.J., where he lived until moving to Arlington, in 1976.

He was a 1938 Wharton High School graduate and was a staff sergeant in the Army During World War II. Mr. Stanlick retired from Picatinny Arsenal, where he was a tool maker for more than 30 years, in 1972. He and his wife, Sadie, owned and operated S and A Farms in Arlington, from 1981 until 2006.

He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Sadie V. (Johnson), in 2004. He is survived by two daughters, Patricia E. Veres of Upper Berkshire Valley, and Barbara J. Stanlick of Arlington; a beloved sister: Mildred Tedford of Arlington; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 8, at 11 a. m. at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 249 S. Main St. Wharton. Interment will follow at Berkshire Valley Presbyterian Cemetery in Jefferson.
