Audrey C. Myers 1928 - 2011 BENNINGTON, VT Audrey C. Myers, widow of Raymond F. Myers, a resident of BenMont Avenue, Bennington, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center following a long illness. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Oct. 26, 1928, daughter of the late John and Loretta Ashley, she received her education in the Brooklyn schools. Audrey and Ray were married in Bennington July 9, 1947. Ray died August 13, 1994. In earlier years, Audrey was employed at the Union Carbide Corporation in Bennington. She later worked at Tansitor Electronics until the time of her retirement. Audrey enjoyed bowling, reading, crocheting and playing cards with her friends. Her most enjoyable pastime was time spent with her family. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Chester Gibbons, and a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Mary Myers, all of Bennington; seven grandchildren, Noel Volpi (Jason), Kimberly Myers-Bello (Lanre), Kathy Myers (Gary), Matthew Myers (Megan), Jolene Mead, Tara Cross (Christopher) and Heather Baker (Stephen); seven great-grandchildren, Justin Volpi, Lauren Volpi, Emma Myers, Brodie Preston, Amelia Preston, Hunter Myers and Kallie Myers; several nieces, nephews and cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside committal services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the MAHAR & SON FUNERAL HOME Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. when the family will be in attendance. Should friends desire, memorial contributions in Audrey Myers' name may be made to the Bennington Rescue Squad through the office of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
