1933 - 2016 NORTH ADAMS Barbara Marie (DiLorenzo) Crawford, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield. She was born in North Adams, MA on December 5, 1933, the daughter of the late Andrew & Nancy (Fumento) DiLorenzo. Barbara attended schools in North Adams. Her most amazing feat, besides raising her 3 children, was to return back to school at the age of 57 and earn an associate degree in Science from Greenfield Community College, of which she was very proud. Barbara was employed at CB Sports and various manufacturing companies in the North Adams area where she was a sewing machine operator until she retired. Barbara loved reading books, playing bingo and in her earlier years, bowling. Her family was her greatest joy and she always took pleasure in spending time with them. She leaves a daughter, Debra Lane and her husband, Richard of Shelburne, MA and two sons, Raymond Crawford of North Adams, MA and Andrew Crawford of Bennington, VT. She also leaves five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her brother, Richard DiLorenzo and her sister, Lucia Potvin. FUNERAL NOTICE: A funeral service to celebrate the life of Barbara Crawford will be held on Saturday February 13, 2016 at 11a.m at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, WEST Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247. Calling hours will be on Saturday morning from 10a.m until the time of service. After the service, family and friends are invited to a gathering at the Bounti-Fare Restaurant, Rt. 8, Adams, MA.
