Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Memorial services for Barbara Murray Wellington, widow of Townsend King Wellington, were held from St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Bennington on Saturday, May 21, 2005, where the burial office was offered by the Rev. Canon Robert Miner, rector, and the Rev. Penny Hawkins, deacon.

Scriptural readings were offered by Donna Maroney. Organist was Randall Krum and soloist was the Rev. Hawkins who sang the hymn “Amazing Grace.” Other musical selections were “All Things Bright and Beautiful,” “O Love, How Deep,” and “All Creations of Our God and King.”

Reflections were offered by Mrs. Wellington’s daughter, Sara Wellington Dodge; her son, David S. Wellington; and by a nephew, Alan Clark.

Interment took place in Bennington Centre Cemetery with the Rev. Miner and the Rev. Hawkins offering the committal prayers.

Mrs. Wellington died Jan. 6, 2005, at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
