Beatrice Crandall

Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at the Green Mountain Christian Center in Bennington for Beatrice Crandall, 76, of Bennington. Pastor John Goyette offered solace, hope and encouragement through his comforting and inspirational words and readings; the readings coming from the Book of Ephesians. After Pastor Goyette’s opening remarks and reflections of Beatrice’s life, Judy Sargent shared some of her special memories of “Bea.” Bea’s granddaughter, Carol Cook, then shared a poem, “Don’t Cry For Me,” which she dedicated to her grandmother. Following a time of sharing, one of Bea’s favorite songs, “Where the Green Grass Grows” by Tim McGraw was played.

Serving as pallbearers were Carol Cook, Mike Chapman, Tim Blodgett, Doreen Draleau, Chris Carpenter and Mike Strain. Prior to the procession to the Green Mountain Christian Center, the song “What Hurts the Most” by Rascal Flats was played at the end of calling hours at the funeral home. Beatrice died on Feb. 16, 2007, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, 213 W. Main Sreet, Bennington, was in charge of arrangements.
