Bernice Allen Dunican

1964-2013 BENNINGTON Bernice Allen Dunican, age 48, a resident of Frost Drive in Bennington, died on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 unexpectedly.

She was born in Proctor, VT on August 3, 1964, and was the daughter of Janet Judd and the late Olive C. Allen, Sr. She received her education in local schools.

Bernice has been employed as a Pharmacy Technician at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington for thirty two years. She was also very involved in the Bennington Marauders Swim Team, she has served as the team President and has refereed for team swim meets. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and was an excellent seamstress, but her greatest joy came from time that she spent with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children; Jacob Dunican and his wife Tiffany of Bennington, Jessica Davis and her husband Randy of Bennington and her twin daughters, Erin and Ashley Dunican, both of Bennington. She leaves four grandchildren; Braydon Dunican, Lucas Dunican, Reily Davis and Layla Davis, all of Bennington. Bernice is also survived by her mother, Janet Judd of Bennington, her sister Dorothy Bechard and her husband Sam of Milton, VT, her brother Oliver Allen, Jr. of Poultney, VT, as well as her companion, William Johnson of Bennington, the father of the children, Stephen Dunican and aunts, uncles and cousins.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Memorial service will be held on Sunday afternoon, June 23, 2013 at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St, in Bennington at 3:00PM

Interment will take place privately at the conveience of the family.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, June 23, from 1:00 until the time of the services.

Memorial contributions may be made to her family in care of Erin Dunican, and may be sent to the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St. Bennington, Vermont 05201.
