Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Bette F. Vallee, 75, a resident of Willow Road, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, at her residence following a long illness.

She was born in Hoosick Falls, N.Y. Dec. 4, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Helen (Fillmore) Noyes. She received her education in Hoosick Falls.

She married Harold “Bud” Vallee May 16, 1951.

In earlier years, Mr. and Mrs. Vallee owned and operated the Blue Benn Diner. She later was employed at the Vermont Steak House.

Bette enjoyed crocheting and sports but her main interest were her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Harold “Bud” Vallee of Bennington; a daughter, Vicki Kelley and her husband Leonard of Hoosick Falls; a son, Richard Vallee of White Creek, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Sean Watson and his wife Cara of Johnsonville, N.Y., David Watson of Tilson, N.Y., Christina Grupe and her husband Scott of West Arlington, Rikki Vallee of East Arlington and Aiden Vallee of White Creek; one great-grandson, Nicholas Grupe of West Arlington; one brother, David Masten and his wife Wendy of Balston Spa, N.Y.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters, Alice Gulley and Zita Noyes.

A memorial service will be held at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Thursday, Sept. 2, at 5 p.m.

The burial will take place at the convenience of the family at the Rosewood Cemetery in White Creek.
