Brian Galusha 1957 - 2008 CAMBRIDGE Brian Charles Galusha, 51, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at his home, after a short illness. Brian was born in Bennington, Vt., on May 3, 1957. He grew up in Arlington and was graduated in 1975 from Arlington High School. Brian was employed at W.E. Dailey Inc. for 29 years. In 2005, he purchased Cullinan's Store in Arlington with his wife, Kathy. Most recently he was employed as a night awake councilor at the Bennington School. He was an active member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 634 in Cambridge and a past member of Post 69 in Arlington. Brian was a very simple man who loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to play golf. He was known to his friends by his nickname "Big." Brian and his wife, Kathy, were married on Sept. 18, 1999. They enjoyed nine wonderful years of marriage and friendship. Brian and Kathy enjoyed daily walks and the companionship of their dog, Shultz, who was always at Brian's side. Brian was predeceased by his father, Raymond Galusha, and a brother, Jeffrey Galusha. He leaves his wife, Kathy, of Cambridge, a son, Jason Galusha, of Michigan; his mother, Vivian Galusha, of Arlington; a brother, Dennis Galusha, of Arlington; and several nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends are invited to pay their respects to the family on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the MAHAR & SON FUNERAL HOME, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Shushan First Responders or the Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad through the office of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home. Guest book condolences may be made at www.maharandsonfuneralhome.net. All members of both American Legion Posts 634 in Cambridge and 69 in Arlington are asked to meet at the MAHAR & SON FUNERAL HOME in Bennington on Saturday at 4 p.m. to pay respects to the family of Brian Galusha.
