Carl E. Fuller, Jr. 1924 - 2010 SHAFTSBURY, VT Carl E. Fuller Jr. 85, a resident of White Creek Road, died Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center, where he had resided for the past year. His family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Bennington Health and Rehabilitation for the wonderful care he received while living there. Mr. Fuller was born in Windsor on Dec. 23, 1924, son of Carl E. Fuller and Minnie Kinerson Fuller. He was a 1943 graduate of the Vermont School of Agriculture in Randolph, now Vermont Technical College. He married the former Vera Barr in Woodstock on Oct. 26, 1945. They had recently celebrated 65 years of marriage. Mr. Fuller was a lifelong dairy farmer; he had owned and operated the Twin Brooks Farm in West Shaftsbury for many years. He is well known for his many dairy farming accomplishments. Throughout his life he had been a member and Board Member of various farm organizations, including the Farm Bureau. He loved to restore and collect antique tractors, antique gas engines, farm tools and lanterns. During the winter, he enjoyed snowmobiling. Following retirement, he and his wife enjoyed traveling and had wintered in Florida for many years. He will be remembered a family man who was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, and will be missed by his family. He had attended the Shaftsbury United Methodist Church. Mr. Fuller leaves his wife, Vera Fuller of Shaftsbury; daughters, Sandra Kirker of Binghamton, N.Y., Carlene Thompson and husband, Gary, of Arlington, Kathy Humm and husband, Gerald, of Barrington, R.I.; son, Richard Fuller and wife, Julie, of Pulaski, N.Y.; brother, Maurice Fuller of Ocala, Fla.; sisters, Alma Doane of Gloversville, N.Y., Wilma Moreau of Ormand Beach, Fla., and Gloria Freihofer of Keene, N.H.; grandchildren, Amanda, Nathan, Kimberly, Katie, Jamie, Wendi, Ashley, Jason and Melanie, 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by brothers Kermit and Wendell Fuller and sister Dorothy Piper. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be private, with burial in the family lot in Center Shaftsbury Cemetery.
