1916 - 2014 BENNINGTON Caroline C. Crandall Perkins, 97, formerly of Cherry Plain, N.Y., died peacefully, Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at The Manes House in Bennington where she had resided for the past 15 years. Born in Cambridge, N.Y., on May 10, 1916, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna Crandall. She was a graduate of Berlin High School and worked as a domestic for Emily Henrotin before her marriage. She was employed as the postmaster for the Cherry Plains Post Office for 19 years before retiring in 1987. Her retirement was spent enjoying time with her family. She was the wife of the late Andrew H. Perkins; loving mother of Anne P. (Marc) Woodroe of Liverpool, N.Y., Lorraine P. (Joe) Schiff of The Villages, Fla., Carol P. Wagar of Charlotte, N.C., and Patricia P. (David) Shuhart of Cherry Plain, N.Y.; adored grandmother of Colleen Wagar, Aletha (Bob) Cummings, Aimee (Derrick) Shuhart and Davey (Janel) LePage; great-grandmother of Andrew Cummings and Calvin Shuhart She was predeceased by her siblings, and is survived by several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the gang at the Manes House for the wonderful care given to mom. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on her birthday, Saturday, May 10 at 1 p.m. at the THOMAS M. BARBER FUNERAL HOME, 66 Armsby Road, Petersburgh, N.Y., with visitation prior to the service from 11 to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Manes House Celebration Fund, c/o Thomas M.
