Catherine Eleanor Senecal Obituary
Catherine Eleanor Senecal

1991 - 2016 Catherine (Catie) Senecal left us on Friday May 6th, finally succumbing to injuries sustained in a car accident almost three weeks before. Catie leaves behind her mother and father, Chris & Melissa Senecal, her grandfather, James Harwood and aunt, Meaghan Harwood, as well as countless cousins, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved grandmothers, Gail Harwood and Joan Senecal. Catie was born in Bennington, VT and grew up in Vermont, New York and New Hampshire. She always loved to travel and in her short time made friends from Europe to Hawaii. Her life was always full of adventure, whether she was snapping illegal pictures of "The David" in Italy, or combing the beaches of Kaui looking for her lost ID so she could board the plane home. She might even tell you the story about jumping into our tiny sailboat on the tip of Cape Cod to save a seagull that had been caught in a fisherman's line. Whatever story she would tell you, it wouldn't be about standing still. She had spent over three years in Colorado and always wanted to return to show family and friends why she loved the western mountains so much. She had returned to this area only about a month prior to her accident. As per Catie's wishes she will be cremated and the family will have no services at this time. The family is planning some private ceremonies including a trip to return her to Colorado and meet with her friends from the area. All of Catie's family and friends thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time. To truly honor Catie and her wishes, the family requests are simple: support your local emergency services and healthcare professionals, become an organ donor if you are not already, and if you love someone then make sure you tell them so whenever you have the chance - talk and listen- time is too short.
