Catherine Gordon 1932 - 2009 BENNINGTON Catherine Delores Gordon, 76, of West Road Park, formerly a resident for nearly 40 years in Sloatsburg, N.Y., passed away Sunday, June 13, 2009, at her home. Catherine was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Aug. 12, 1932, the daughter of Peter and Katherine Ladstatter Seymour. She attended and graduated from school in Long Island, and worked in retail sales for several shoe companies. Catherine enjoyed playing golf in her earlier years and enjoyed her home, especially entertaining at her home. She was an avid reader especially later in life, enjoyed playing cards and her flower and vegetable gardens. She loved following the New York sports teams, especially football. Her husband, Harry M. Gordon, whom she married May 16, 1949, died Nov. 18. 2008. Catherine leaves her son, Bruce Gordon and his wife, Patricia, of West Milford, N.J.; her daughter, Renee Gordon Johnson of Paramus, N.J.; her grandchildren, Julie Gordon of Stamford, Conn., Amy Gordon of Brooklyn, Randy Gordon of Stony Point, N. Y., and Elizabeth and Matthew Gettler of Leonia, N.J., and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Peter and Walter Seymour. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Catherine will be Thursday, June 18, 2009, at 12:30 p.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church in Hoosick Falls, N.Y. Interment will be held in the family lot in Sloatsburg Cemetery at a later date. Visiting hours will be held at HANSON-WALBRIDGE FUNERAL HOME, 213 West Main St., Bennington, on Thursday, June 18, 2009, from 10 to 12, two hours prior to the service when the family will be in attendance.
