CHARLES "CHUCK" CAPRIOLA III 1958 - 2009 SHAFTSBURY, VT Mr. Charles E. "Chuck" Capriola III, 50, a resident of Shaftsbury, Vermont died Monday April 6, 2009 at his home on Eleanor's Way following a long illness. He was born in Port Chester, N.Y., Aug. 4, 1958. He was the son of Charles E. Capriola, Jr. and Joan Meo Capriola. Chuck received his education in Bennington and was a graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School. He married the former Tamara Mallory in 1981 Chuck was a well known auto mechanic and body man for many years. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, car shows, and attending car auctions. In earlier years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to camp. Chuck was also an avid reader. He had a special love of animals. He leaves his wife Tamara Capriola of Shaftsbury, a son Charles Capriola IV of Shaftsbury, two daughters, Krislyn Capriola of Bondville, VT and Kamryn "Shortie' Capriola of Shaftsbury. Chuck also leaves his parents Charles Capriola Jr. and Joan of Bennington, a sister Robin Garhartt and her husband Jon of Bennington, a brother Gary Capriola of Maui, HI, also a special cousin James Morabito, his mother and father-in-law James and Patricia Mallory of Bennington, a brother and sister-in-law Glenn and Louise Mallory of Woodford, Vt., a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jamea and Pete Lundy of Durham, N.C., four nephews Matthew and James Lundy and Galeb and Ethan Garhartt. Also, several close and caring friends including John and Sylvia Carpenter of Bennington as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Also included are his "granddogsters" Rottweiler Chloe, and Beagle Boy Drifter. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services and interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours are scheduled. Memorial contributions may be made to Kamryn Capriola for her further educational needs through the MAHAR AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201
