Charles Judge Sr. 1923 - 2008 BENNINGTON Charles Warren Judge Sr., 85, of Bennington passed away Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Born in Chattanooga, Tenn., on June 19, 1923, the son of William Judge Sr. and Crescentia Fields Judge, he was raised in Buffalo, N.Y. Charles attended photography school on the campus of Yale University. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Judge was a very reputable furniture finishing supervisor working for Green Mountain, Vt., Furniture, Cushman's and the Hale Co. He stood up for his workers to ensure everyone was treated equally. He loved baseball and was a huge Yankees fan. He leaves his wife, the former Helen Mears of Bennington; a son, Charles W. Judge Jr. of Bennington; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Pat Judge of Colchester, Conn.;, sisters-in-law, Carolyn Judge of Connecticut, and Edna Ranzona and Agnes Mears-Van, both of Bennington; a special friend, George Palmer of New Hampshire, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers, David, William Jr., Donald and Sheldon Judge, and by a sister, Beulah Cutler. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service will be held Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church. There will be no calling hours.
