Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Funeral services for Charles W. Perkins were held Friday morning, July 20, 2007, at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home in Bennington.

Pastor Thomas Charlton, grandson of Charles, conducted the service. The hymns “Old Rugged Cross” and “How Great Thou Art” were sung acappella by Katy Charlton. The eulogy was offered by longtime friend Bob Russ. Pastor Charlton spoke of memories he had with his grandfather and offered personal reflections.

Serving as pallbearers were grandsons Adam, Alex, Chas and Matthew Perkins and Kevin and Todd Squiers.

Following the service the family invited all those in attendance for a time of fellowship and refreshments on the lawn of the funeral home.

Charles W. Perkins of Lunenburg, Mass., formerly of Shaftsbury and North Bennington, and Casselbury, Fla., died Monday, July 16, 2007, at his home following a long illness.
