Charlotte Lefevre Obituary

Charlotte G. Lefevre

1917-2014 EAST DORSET, VT Shut the front door. Charlotte G. Lefevre (Chotsie), left this life January 30, 2014 a she lived it. She was a woman of strong opinions, a quiet dignity, a certain New England grace and most of all a common touch; she loved people. She was the Perle Mesta of Dorset, a model to many and a mother to more than just her two boys Quique and Grant. She leaves; but joins many dear friends. Born in Carver, Massachusetts to Edward and Helen Griffith in 1917, she graduated from Stoneliegh College in 1936 and went right to New York City where she first lived in Grace House. There she met her four best friends who became aunt Jane, aunt Mary, aunt Alice and aunt Mary. She was a Nurses Aide at Sloan Kettering, worked for the Society for the Control of Cancer and for Louis Lieberman in the Apparel Industry. She was pre-deceased by her parents and Eddie, the love of her life. She leaves behind her two sons; her two grandsons, Dave and his wife Gretchen, and Ried and his mother Muriel; and her two great-grandchildren, Caspian and Tavian. Finally, for fear of being haunted and because she loved them all, the family would like to acknowledge and thank her care angels, Laura, Laurie, Leslie, Kim and Kate. A celebration of the life of Charlotte G. Lefevre (Chotsie) will be held in the spring when her favorite flowers are in bloom. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Charlotte's memory may be made to the Second chance Animal Shelter, c/o BREWSTER SHEA FUNERAL SERVICE, P.O. Box 885, Manchester Center, Vermont 05255. What a privilege to come back to Vermont and reunite with Chotsie at the end of her journey. I had known her from childhood and the Dorset rummage sale days. She brought a smile to my face even in her frailest moments she tried to give care to the caregiver! She was feisty and funny and it was an honor to serve her in her final days. Viva La Gypsy who's love for Teddy Bears and Cats knew no bounds! So glad that you broke lose and went home to Eddie! You will be missed, but I have no doubt you are redecorating that mansion in the sky!
MUUUUUUAHHHH!
