Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- The Burial Office with Eucharist was offered for Chester Ringheiser on Saturday, April 28, 2007, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Bennington with the Rev. Anita Schell-Lambert, rector, officiating. Assisting at the services was the Rev. Robin Greene, Chaplain of the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington, where Mr. Ringheiser had been a resident.

Crucifer for the service was Mrs. Emily Kennedy. Organist for services was Randall Krum. Selected hymns included “The Strife Is O’er,” and “Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee.”

Mr. Ringheiser’s urn was carried down the aisle by his son Mr. Seth Ringheiser, and was carried out of the church by his son David Ringheiser. Mr. Ringheiser’s grandchildren, Anna and Alden, carried red roses to accompany the urn in and out of church.

The eulogies were offered by Mr. David Ringheiser and close family friend, Mr. Gordon Hyatt. The Prayers of The People were read by Mr. Seth Ringheiser.

Interment followed in the family lot in Grandview Cemetery in Shaftsbury where the Rev. Anita and Reverend Robin offered the prayers of committal.

A time of fellowship followed the committal services at the Parish Hall of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.

Chester A. Ringheiser, 75, a resident of the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington died on March 15, 2007, following a long illness.
