Christine "Tinker" Loveland BENNINGTON Christine "Tinker" Loveland, 62, wife of Skip Loveland and a resident of Observatory St., died peacefully at their home on Tuesday March 17,2009 following a brief illness, she was surrounded by her loving family. Tinker was born in Bennington on July 1,1946, daughter of John G. and Marie D. Wheeler Williams. Growing up in Bennington, she attended local schools and was a graduate of the former Bennington High School. She and Skip were married in Bennington on Mother's Day May 13, 1972. She was retired from The Bennington Meals on Wheels Program where she prepared meals for clients. Tinker enjoyed tending to her "flowers on the hill" at home and spending time at Lake Champlain with her family, she especially loved her grandchildren and her horse Ollie. She leaves her husband Burnice "Skip" Loveland, son John VanNess, daughters; Renee, and husband, Tom Harrington, and Angie Loveland, and fiancé, Jeff Nichols, all of Bennington, sisters; Leslie Olin of Newport, and Lexine Williams of Bennington, grandchildren; James Kramer of Boston, Shawn Careau, Crystal Careau both of Bennington, TJ Loveland, Kayla Loveland and Zach James and great-grandson; Landon Hollis all of Bennington, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
