Obituary Condolences

MANCHESTER -- The mass of Christian death and burial for Clara Basalari was celebrated Friday morning, Nov. 16, 2007, at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Manchester. The Rev. John Whalen was the celebrant assisted by Kenneth Linehan.

Music for the mass was under the direction of organist Michael Gallagher and the St. Paul’s choir. The entrance hymn was “Amazing Grace” followed by the offertory hymn “On Eagles Wings” the communion hymn “Gentle Woman” and the recessional hymn “Be Not Afraid.”

Readings were offered by Leo Diliello and Jon Karl. Offertory gifts were presented at the altar by Calara’s grandchildren, Samantha, Jack, Nathaniel and Lillian. Serving, as pallbearers were Tony Basalari, Sal John Catalano, Jon Karl, Richard Crane, Larry Shaw and Michael Ricciardone. Following the mass a time of fellowship and refreshments was held at the home of Robert and Clara Basalari in Manchester.

Clara B. Basalari, a resident of Leland Drive in Manchester Center, died Nov. 13, 2007, at Glens Falls, N.Y., Hospital.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Brewster Funeral Service, 34 Park Place Manchester Center.
