Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Clara M. Ricard, 75, a resident of Bennington, died on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington.

She was born in Danby, June 21, 1930, the daughter of John and Charity (Wetherby) McIntyre. She attended local schools in Tinmouth.

Clara also lived for some years in Pawlet and East Dorset. She was married to and later divorced from Raymond Ricard Sr. Clara was a very devoted mother, she raised her seven children with kindness and love. She was a past member of the Manchester Eagles Club. In her free time Clara enjoyed dancing, card games and bingo. She will be remembered for her kind and gentle ways and will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her sons, David Ricard of West Pawlet, Paul Ricard of Castleton, John Ricard of Memphis Tenn., and Raymond Ricard Jr. of N.Clarendon; her daughters, Mary Ricard Bourn of N. Clarendon, Joan Ricard of Danby and Lisa Felion of Peru; her brothers, Warren McIntyre of Florida and Wilber McIntyre of Cossayura, N.Y.; her sisters, Marion Baird of East Dorset, Minervia Baker of N. Clarendon and Geraldine Towesley of East Dorset; also, 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Gus McIntyre in 2001.

Friends may call at Brewster Funeral Home on Saturday, Sept. 3, from 2 to 4 p.m. A graveside service of committal will follow in the Danby Cemetery.

The Rev. Thomas Kiley of the Wellspring of Life Church in Rutland will officiate.
