Obituary Condolences

LUDLOW -- Clara S. Parker, 86, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at the Gill Odd Fellows Home in Ludlow.

She was born on June 1, 1921, in Bennington, the daughter of George Senecal and Eva Montgomery.

Mrs. Parker was a veteran of the Army serving in the W.A.C. during World War II.

She enjoyed oil painting, sewing, making dolls and crafts.

Mrs. Parker had been employed by the Union Carbide Corp. for over 30 years.

She was a longtime resident of Bennington, relocating to Rutland in 2000.

Mrs. Parker was a volunteer for many years at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington and the Rutland Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include a daughter Carol P. Snow and husband Peter of North Clarendon; a grandson Dana S. Langlois and his wife Katie of Proctor; a granddaughter, Crystal Parker Ottaviano of Connecticut; a sister Gertrude Bishop of Bennington; four great-grandchildren Brodie Rayn Langlois, Keegen Langlois, Kylea Langlois and Cassidy Langlois, all of Proctor.

She was predeceased by her husband Leo F. Parker Sr. and a son Leo F. Parker Jr.

There will be no public funeral service of calling hours.

All this information does not begin to tell you what a strong woman, loving and giving mother and grandmother she was. She was the magic in Christmas. She was comfort and shelter in life. She will be missed and was very loved.
