1911 - 2015 MANCHESTER Clarence William Bushee, 104, a resident of Equinox Terrace Road, passed away July 29, 2015 at Equinox Terrace. Clarence was born in Manchester, VT on January 9, 1911 the son of the late Eugene and Bessie (Lyons) Bushee and attended local schools. Clarence worked on his father's farm for many years. He was caretaker for Peggy Beckwith and worked as a carpenter for many local businesses. Clarence also worked for General Electric in Rutland on the night shift for many years. Clarence loved harness racing, going to casinos and following the Boston Red Sox. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and following his great grandchildren's sporting events. Clarence is survived by his wife, Marguerite Bushee of Manchester whom he married May 14, 1943, daughters, Patricia Slason of West Palm Beach, FL and Gloria Bierwirth and her husband, Bob of East Dorset, grandchildren, Brian LaCoste and his wife, Deanne of Sunderland, VT, Donna Denney and Doug Slason of FL and Raymond Bushee, Renee Howard and Robert Bushee all of NH, five step-grandchildren Bob Bierwirth, Jr. of NC, Diane Kent of Manchester, Robin Bierwirth of Pittsford, Don Bierwirth of Sunderland and John Bierwirth of East Dorset, 11 great grandchildren and Catherine Perry whom was considered a third daughter, his sisters, Edith Kilburn of Manchester, Eunice Rice of Scotia, Eva Lampron of Bennington and Evelyn Larson of Bomaseen. He was preceded in death by his son, Allen Bushee who died in 2004, his sisters, Gladys Hoard who died April 19, 2015 and Marjorie Bushee who passed in 1994 and his brother, Richard Bushee who passed in 1982.
