EAGLE BRIDGE, N.Y. -- Clayton Stewart Boice, 63, of Rice Lane, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center after a long illness. He was the husband of Dorothy Hansen Boice.

Born on Monday, April 28, 1941, in Shushan, he was the youngest child of the late Dallas Boice and Helen Brown Boice Harrington, now living in Bennington, Vt. He grew up in Shushan before living in Cambridge, and most recently, Eagle Bridge.

He and Dorothy were married July 11, 1964.

Clayton worked as a cutter in several local textile mills including Reis Mills in Cambridge and K&H Products in North Bennington, Vt., from where he retired.

He enjoyed painting, gardening, woodworking, spending time with his family and he loved to sing.

Along with his wife, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Heath and Natalie Boice-Pardee of Hamilton, N.J.; a granddaughter, Katherine Boice-Pardee; four siblings and their spouses, Helene and Phil Sica of Cambridge, Charles and Lois Boice of Argyle, Lillian Rehn of Shushan and Marshall and Ruffle Boice of Salem; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Friday, April 8 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Ackley & Ross Funeral Home, 73 West Main St., Cambridge.

The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

It was Clayton’s wishes to be cremated.
