Clyde W. Ryder 1920-2008 Hoosick Falls, N.Y. Clyde W. Ryder, 87, of Eddy Place died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vt. Born on May 14, 1920 in Troy, N.Y., he was the son of Earl and Clara Ryder. Clyde was a craftsman at Cushman Furniture and Green Mountain Furniture both in North Bennington, Vt., and retired from Oak Mitsui. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed woodworking and antique cars. He was a charter member of the Green Mountain Antique Car Club. His wife, the former Elizabeth Jones, died April 19, 1991. He leaves two sons Paul Harrison and his wife, Barbara, of Oswego, and David Ryder and his wife, Linda, of Albany; four grandchildren, Bryan and Kevin Ryder, and Wendy and Kristyn Harrison; a niece, Linda Redden; a nephew Bruce Baertschi, and a brother-in-law, William Baertschi. Clyde was predeceased by a son, John Harrison. Funeral Notice : Services will be Saturday, April 12, 2008 at noon at the MARHAR FUNERAL HOME, 43 Main St. Pastor Donna Elia of the First United Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Maple Grove Cemetery in Hoosick Falls. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad through the funeral home.
