Corrinne J. Richard 1930 - 2009 BENNINGTON Corrinne J. Richard, 78, a former resident of West Road Park Bennington, Vt. and more recently of Jefferson Heights died Tuesday, Jan. 6, at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation surrounded by her family. She was born in Manchester, Vt., Feb. 17, 1930, daughter of Reuben and Lula Sarah Hewes Levin. Corrinne received her education in Bennington . For many years Corrinne was employed as a waitress at several area restaurants including the Village Nook, Paradise, Four Squires and the Four Chimneys. She also worked as a bookkeeper at Johnson Oil in Bennington and worked in the activities department at Weston Hadden. Corrinne was a very giving person and enjoyed helping people She leaves a son Steven M. Richard of Bennington; two daughters Sandra L. Crawford of Tygh Valley, Ore., and Judith H. Richard Hutton of Shaftsbury; three brothers, Harold "Sonny" Levin of Bennington, Lew "Guy" Levin of Shaftsbury and Norman Bruce of North Glenn, Colo.; two sisters Natalie Rallis of Bennington and Thyra "Kiki" Bushee of Bennington; three grandchildren Dana Lee Mengwasser of Springfield, and Julie Ann Crawford of Vancouver, Wash., and Martin Edward Reiter of North Bennington; a great- granddaughter Kalila Azure Garrison of Vancouver, Wash., and several nieces, nephews and cousins; and close friend, Beverly Leake of Bennington. She was pre-deceased by a sister Priscilla Gray. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service will be held at the MAHAR AND SON FUNERAL HOME on Thursday Jan. 8, 2009 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Smith, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church officiating. The burial will take place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family. If friends desire, contributions in memory of Corrinne J. Richard may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St.
