1950-2013 BENNINGTON Cynthia Cole, 63, a resident of Valentine Street, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Cynthia was born in Keene, N.H. on August 27, 1950 the daughter of the late Frank and Bertha (Gray) Field and attended local schools. Cynthia enjoyed going to BPI and playing bingo. She loved being outdoors and participating in outdoor games. She enjoyed cooking, especially around the holidays, her cats, flowers and the color yellow. Cynthia enjoyed her home and spending time with her family. Cynthia is survived by her husband, Gene Cole, of Bennington whom she married January 24, 1981 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Bennington; her daughter, Tiffany Cole of Bennington; her brother, Alfred Field and his wife Corey of Walpole, N.H.; sisters, Judith Mears and her significant other Nick Harrington of Bennington, and Dorothy Stevens. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Teresa Field and Kathleen Sawyer. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Cynthia will be held Monday, September 30, 2013 a 2 p.m. at HANSON-WALBRIDGE SHEA FUNERAL HOME, 213 West Main Street, Bennington, Vt. Interment will follow in the family lot in White Chapel Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held Monday, September 30, 2013 from 1 to 2 p.m., one hour prior to the service.
