Dale R. Croff 1959 - 2008 BENNINGTON, VT Dale R. Croff, 49, passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, at Albany Medical Center following a sudden illness. Dale was born March 21, 1959, in Granville, N.Y. son of the late Raymond F. and Patricia Plant Croff. A graduate of Salem Washington Academy in 1977, Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing and using his computer and had lived in Bennington for many years. He was of the Methodist faith and in his younger years, was a member of the Rupert United Methodist Church. Dale leaves his sisters and brother, Deborah Mead, and her husband, Michael, of Salem, N.Y., Brenda Ryan, and her husband, Ron, of Pawlet, Vt., Henry Croff, and his wife, Nicole, of Rupert, Vt., and Andrea Filer, and her husband, William, of Salem, N.Y. Dale also leaves his aunt, Wilma Batease of Rupert, Vt., and his nieces and nephews, Jared Ryan, Patrick Ryan, Rebecca Lessard, Jennifer Filer and Brooke Filer. In addition to his parents, Dale was also predeceased by his daughter, Courtney Raye Croff on May 18, 1996. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008 at the Rupert United Methodist Church, Rtes. 153 & 315 in Rupert with the Rev. Mary Beth Hutchinson, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Rupert Cemetery. Following the services, Dale's family cordially invites everyone to join them for light refreshments and to continue to share memories of Dale in the downstairs hall of the Congregational Church of Rupert located next to the Rupert Cemetery.
