BENNINGTON -- Mr. David H. Flanders, 54, a resident of Grove Street, Bennington, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, at his residence.

He was born in Bennington July 15, 1950. He was the son of the late Harold P. Flanders and Mary “Doll” (Reginbald) Flanders. Dave was raised by his grandparents, the late Mary I. Baker and Horace Baker, who survives.

He received his education in Bennington.

Dave married the former Jean M. Bentley Feb. 14, 2003.

In earlier years, Dave was employed at Bellmead Development Daytona Beach Shores in Daytona Beach, Fla. For 15 years, he was employed at General Cable in Pownal, and most recently at Saint Gobain Ceramics and Plastics Inc. in Hoosick Falls, N.Y.

Dave was an avid New York Yankees baseball fan.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Flanders of Bennington; a daughter, Lisa Mattison of Shaftsbury; a granddaughter, Jordon Mattison of Shaftsbury; one brother, Danny Flanders and his wife Nancy of Bennington; a sister, Darlene Davis and her husband Pete of Bennington; his grandfather, Horace Baker of Bennington; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Saturday, Jan. 29, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Mary Lee-Clark, pastor of the Second Congregational Church, officiating.

The burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Evergreen Cemetery in Arlington.
