MT. AIRY, Md. -- Mr. David Marshall Betit, 47, of Mt. Airy, died suddenly on Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at his residence. He was the husband of Roxanne P. Spangler Baker, his wife of five years.

Born on May 23, 1957, in Bennington, Vt., he was the son of Louis M. and Julia Kaszuba Betit of Bennington. Mr. Betit was the president of Trilogy Connection in Mt. Airy, a marketing and advertising company serving the biotechnology community. He was also co-owner of Somerset Ranch, a horse boarding and training facility also located in Mt. Airy. David was a sportsman, enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, was an avid hunter and thus a member of Ducks Unlimited. He was also a member of the Chesapeake Plantation Walking Horse Club, Fraternal Order of Elks, Lodge 684 in Frederick and the Knights of Columbus.

Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are two children, Marshall C. Betit and Kristin M. Betit, both of Mt. Airy; three brothers, Timothy Betit and wife Margaret of Brookline, N.H., Jeffrey Betit and wife Joanne of Bridgewater, Mass. and Alain Betit of Niskayuna, N.Y.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd. with the Rev. Carol Yocum of Calvary United Methodist Church, Mt. Airy, and the Rev. Albert K. Lane III, of Evangelical Lutheran Church, Frederick, officiating.

Interment will be private.
