BUSKIRK, N.Y. -- Deborah K. Cox, 53, a resident of County Road, died Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Fort Leavenworth, Kan., on Nov. 3, 1952, the daughter of Robert Philip and Delores K. (Derry) Branford and attended local schools. She worked at MORCOM, Inc. in Cambridge for many years.

Deb loved dragons, lizards and collecting Indian artifacts. She was an avid Stephen King fan. She enjoyed reading his books and watching his motion pictures. Deb’s favorite pasttime was spending time with her husband and her family.

She is survived by her husband, Norman Cox of Buskirk, whom she married in February 1972; a son, Brian Cox of Buskirk; her daughter, Genie Cox of Cambridge; two brothers, Robert Branford, Jr. of Pownal, Vt., and Clayton Lake of Harrington, Maine; a sister, Robin Kerr of Fort Smith, Ark.; two stepsisters, Amber Lake and Cheyenne Lake of Newport, Conn.; her stepfather Robert Lake Jr. of Bennington, Vt.; her sisters-in-law and best friends, Susan Lake of Bennington and Karen Branford of Pownal; and her grandchild Amber Cox of Cambridge.
