Diane Beshara

1955 - 2010 BENNINGTON, VT Diane Frances Craft Beshara, 54, a resident of Pratt Street in Bennington, died on Wednesday evening, Feb. 17, at Crescent Manor Care Centers in Bennington, following a long illness.

Diane was born in East Boston, Mass., on April 17, 1955, daughter of the late Floyd Edward and Eva D'Amico Craft. She received her education in local schools and attended Georgetown High School in Massachusetts.

Known to her family and friends as "Lady Di," her home was always open to anyone in need. She was a loving wife, mother and friend who will be surely missed. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Diane attended Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church in Bennington.

She met John Beshara over 30 years ago, and they have been life-partners ever since.

Besides John, she leaves their son, John Anthony Beshara of Bennington; her stepson, George Beshara; her beloved sister and brothers, Betty Craft of Byfield, Mass., Floyd Edward and Helen Craft of Haverill, Mass., Robert Craft of Georgetown, Mass., Billy Craft of Rowley, Mass.; her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, JoAnne Beshara of Bennington and Shirley and Frank Nolin of Bennington; her special nephew, Jeffrey Gygax, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and several friends, including her special friend, Joyce Armeen.

Diane was predeceased by her brothers, Floyd William Craft, Wayne Craft, and sister, Gail Moore.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at 1 p.m. at the MAHAR AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 628 Main St. in Bennington, with the Rev. James Holden officiating. Interment will take place in the family lot in White Chapel Cemetery privately. At Diane's request, there are no calling hours scheduled.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church Renovation Fund or the VNA and Hospice of SVHC through the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201.
