MOUNT HOLLY, N.J., and HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- Dona M. Amici-Donnelly, loving wife, daughter, sister and aunt, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2006, after courageously battling diabetes. She was 51 years young.

Dona was the beloved wife of James F. Donnelly. She was born Jan. 15, 1955, in Philadelphia and lived for many years in Roslyn. She spent the last several years at residences in both Mount Holly and Hoosick Falls.

She had written for the Catholic Standard and Times and had established herself as an accomplished journalist at the Montgomery County Record/Intelligencer as a sports writer, news writer and editor, before leaving due to her declining health.

She was a devoted Catholic who enjoyed discussing and writing about many subjects, especially politics and religion.

Dona loved visiting the Atlantic City casinos, playing bingo and singing with family and friends. She adored all children, and the love and generosity she constantly bestowed will remain in the hearts of those she loved always. She will be missed every day, but especially during the holidays that she so loved to spend with her family.

In addition to her husband, Dona is survived by her mother, Marie C. Amici (nee Levine); her brothers, Louis J. Amici Jr. (Maryann), Andrew V. Amici and Anthony A. Amici; her sisters, Mary J. Amici, Marie C. Lockwood (Glenn), Lizanne Diehl (Bruce); her sister-in-law Diana Amici; and many other loving cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Louis J. Amici Sr.; her brother, Michael C. Amici Sr.; her father-in-law, James F. Donnelly; her mother-in-law, Estelle Donnelly; and her nephew, Michael C. Amici Jr.
