Obituary Condolences

POTTSTOWN, Pa. -- Donna Marie Lockrow, 49, formerly of Cambridge and Hoosick Falls, N.Y., passed on unexpectedly at her home on Friday, Feb. 25, 2005. She was the wife of Gary S. Lockrow.

Born Wednesday, Nov. 16, 1955, in Albany, Donna grew up in Hoosick Falls and attended Hoosick Falls Central School. She and Gary were married on March 30, 1974.

Donna worked for several years as an assistant manager at Rite Aide Pharmacy, as a waitress at the Wayside Restaurant in Potter’s Hill and at National Hanger Company in North Bennington, Vt.. Since 1993, she has been a full time homemaker.

Donna and Gary moved to Route 22 in Cambridge in 2002. They joined Jacob’s Well Fellowship and were very active in the church. In the fall, they moved to Pennsylvania to be near their daughter and grandchildren.

Donna enjoyed doing crafts, cooking decorating, gardening, reading, collecting dolls and photography. She loved animals.

Donna had a wonderful relationship with the Lord and spent much time, and found much strength and comfort in, deepening that relationship.

Gary and Donna’s son, Gary S. Lockrow Jr., died Sept. 9, 1981. She is also predeceased by her stepfather, Robert J. Blakey Sr.

Along with her husband of 30 years, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Dale LeClare of Pottstown; her mother, Delores Bergeron Blakey of Hoosick Falls; four siblings, Robert Blakey Jr. of Bennington, Vt., Charles Blakey, Richard Blakey and Lisa Ogert, all of Hoosick Falls; and two granddaughters that she adored, Isabelle and Juliette.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Tuesday, March 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Jacob’s Well Fellowship, 181 LeGrys Road, Cambridge. A funeral service will be held at the church on Wednesday, March 2, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at West Hoosick Cemetery.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Jacob’s Well Fellowship.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ackley & Ross Funeral Home, Cambridge.

Although Donna was taken from us suddenly, her family and friends rest assured that she is in the arms of the Lord that she loved so much.
