FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- Dorcas S. Robinson, 82, widow of Arthur F. Robinson Jr., a former resident of West Road, Bennington, Vt., died Saturday, June 16, 2007, at Saint Patrick’s Manor in Framingham, following a long illness.

She was born in Shaftsbury, Vt., April 6, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Bessie (Sisco) Strong. Dorcas received her education in Shaftsbury and was a graduate of North Bennington High School.

She married Arthur F. Robinson Jr. on Oct. 5, 1946, at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in North Bennington. Mr. Robinson died in Feb, of 1990.

In earlier years, Dorcas had been employed at the BenMont Paper Company and Union Carbide Corporation in Bennington. She later worked at Fair Pharmacy in Framingham as a Pharmacist Technician and later at Rite Aide from which she retired.

Survivors include a daughter, Denise Ellis and her husband, David, of Londonderry, N.H.; two sons Arthur E. Robinson and his wife Christine of Conklin, New York and Mark S. Robinson and his wife Norma of Medway; six grandchildren, Timothy, Kimberly, Keri, Kristi, Tony and Lacey and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Strong of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Neal Strong and his wife Donna of Shaftsbury, Vt; a sister in law Peggy Strong of Dalton, Mass., and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by a brother William Strong.

The funeral will be held from Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in North Bennington on Friday, June 22, 2007, 10 a.m. where the Mass of Resurrection will be offered.

The burial will take place in the family lot in Saint John’s Cemetery in North Bennington.

A reception will follow at the Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church Parish Hall.

There will be no calling hours.
