BENNINGTON -- Doris A. Boulet, 94, widow of Leo J. Boulet, a resident of Bennington, died on Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Edward Phillips of Cache, Okla.

Born in Hoosick Falls, N.Y., on May 11, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Amelia (Roy) Thibodeau. She received her education in Bennington.

Mr. and Mrs. Boulet were married at Sacred Heart Church in Bennington, Vt., on May 13, 1936. Mr. Boulet died Sept. 25, 1956.

Mrs. Boulet was employed for many years at EZ Mill and Union Carbide Corp, and last at Tansitor Electronics, and in her later life was a caregiver to patients at various nursing homes in the area and in private practice.

Mrs. Boulet’s home, family, grand and great-grandchildren were among her interests along with the care and concerns of the elderly in the area.

Mrs. Boulet was a member of St. Anne’s Society at Sacred Heart Church.

Survivors include three sons, Arthur J. Boulet and his wife Alyce of Wheatland, Calif., Robert L. Boulet of Sacramento, Calif., and Gary Boulet and his partner Michael Ruggiero of Danbury, Conn.; also a daughter Gail Phillips and her husband Edward of Cache, Okla.; a special nephew and niece, Joseph Thibodeau and his wife, Kathleen of North Bennington, Vt., who was like a son to her. She leaves six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephew and cousins.

Mrs. Boulet was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph LeRoy Thibodeau, Alfred H. Thibodeau, and Edward C. Thibodeau and her daughter Elaine Claire Boulet.

A prayer service will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. in Bennington on Friday morning, Nov. 16 at 9 a.m. and from St. John the Baptist Church in North Bennington, at 10 a.m. where the Liturgy of Resurrection will be offered.

Burial will take place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington.

At the request of Mrs. Boulet, there will be no calling hours.

If friends desire, memorial contributions for Mrs. Boulet may be made to the Sacred Heart School, or the Hospice of Bennington County, through the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201.
