Obituary Condolences

SUNDERLAND -- Funeral services for Dorothy Charlotte (Fewkes) Vondy were held Thursday afternoon, Jan, 11, 2007, at the First Baptist Church in Manchester.

The Rev. Robert Carpenter conducted the service. Music was under the direction of organist Jeff Linebeck, who led the congregation in the singing of the hymns “Gather Us In” and “Amazing Grace.” The hymn “On Eagles Wings” was sung solo also by Jeff Linebeck. Tracy Wesley offered scripture readings and the gospel was read by David Wesley. Darlene Young shared memories and words of remembrance. Among those in attendance were representatives from the Harned-Fowler VFW Post 6471 Ladies Auxiliary of Manchester, which offered their service of remembrance. Following the service, a time of fellowship and refreshments was held in the church parlor. Interment followed in the family lot in Dellwood Cemetery in Manchester, where the Rev. Carpenter offered burial rites and committal prayers. Urn Bearer was Brianna Young. John Skinner offered processional hymns on the bagpipes.

Dorothy Charlotte (Fewkes) Vondy, a resident of Route 7A in Sunderland, died Jan. 5, 2007, at her home.

Arrangements were under the care of Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home Arlington Chapel.
