Dorothy M. Leary

1933 - 2013 MANCHESTER CENTER Dorothy M. Leary, a well-liked neighbor and friend of the Meadows in Manchester, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at her home.

Dorothy was born in Bennington on Nov. 24, 1933, the daughter of Louis W. and Delia (Therriault) Leary and attended local schools.

Dorothy worked at Mack Molding for 35 years, the last ten as a Quality Control Auditor.

Dorothy was a veteran of the Army, serving during the Korean Conflict from 1954-1956.

Dorothy was a former member of the VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed spending time with friends, going out to eat, was an avid reader and loved animals.

Dorothy is survived by her nephew, Ronald Dufresne, and his wife, Kathleen, of Crystal River, Fla., and her niece, Diane Leedy, and her husband, Richard of Glendale, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Leona Dufresne; by her brothers, William Carl Leary and Donald Leary, and by a nephew, John Dufresne.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Visiting hours for Dorothy will be Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at BREWSTER & SHEA FUNERAL SERVICE, 34 Park Place, Manchester Center. A committal service will follow in the family lot in St. Jerome's Cemetery in East Dorset.
