DORSET -- Dorothy O. Kopituk, 78, a seasonal resident of Dorset and Pinecreast, Fla., died Friday, Feb. 20, 2004 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, N.H. She was born Jan. 16, 1926 in Montclair, N.J., the daughter of William and Emily (Hoff) Osiecky. She grew up there and graduated from Montclair High School. She continued her education and graduated from secretarial school.

On Jan. 10, 1948, she was married to Raymond Kopituk in Montclair. The Kopituks made their life in Pinecreast. Dorothy worked for many years as an office manager for Florida Welding Services Corp., while raising a family. She always loved her garden and was active in the local club in Florida and the Manchester Garden Club in Vermont. Her flower gardens were admired by all. She also enjoyed antiques and loved all animals. She touched many in her life with her pleasant manner and caring ways.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Dory Feldmann of Pinecreast and her brother Edwin Osiecky of Madison, Ga.; also four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Raymond Jr. and sister Dolores.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, Feb. 23 at 11 a.m. at the United Church of Dorset and East Rupert. The pastor of the church, the Rev. Dr. James H. Grey, will officiate. A time of fellowship will follow in the church vestry. Committal services will be held in the spring in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Dorset.
