Rosemary Taylor

1939 - 2015 BENNINGTON Dottie Taylor, a truly loving dear person, quietly passed away to a more restful place on June 6, 2015. She was born on February 6, 1939 in Albany NY. Dorothy was the adopted daughter of the deceased Rube and Eva Taylor, cherished sister of Frances Harrison and the deceased Michael and Robert Burns. Dorothy attended school and secretarial college in Bennington, VT. She worked for NYS for several years before retiring to care for her adopted mother. She received many honors and accolades for services rendered at local Nursing Homes. Dottie was truly loved and admired by all who knew her. Despite severe walking problems she never complained and was a familiar figure walking downtown as long as she was able. She had a kind word for everyone and was an inspiration to others with her ability to overcome adversity. Dorothy was a grateful and loyal friend of Bill W. for more than 30 plus years and will be missed by all her good friends. Beloved Aunt of Edward and Kevin McCormick, Michele (John) Hammond, Mary Erin Daoust, Tim (Robyn) Burns and Patricia Burns. Loving Great Aunt of Tarek (Kathy) Khemili, Farah (Youssef Bakari) Khemili, Kelly, Ashley & Maria Fernandez McCormick, Jake and Ryan Burns, Brad and Emil Burns, Michael (Jen) Daoust. Great-Great-Aunt of Sam, Billy, Joey & Michael Khemili, Evan and Brody Daoust, and Roslyn Gibbons. The family would like to thank the staff at Southwestern Vermont Center for Living and Rehabilitation who helped Dorothy live with dignity and love in her final years. You are truly blessed people.
