BENNINGTON -- Douglas A. Cooper, 52, a resident of Pleasant Street, died unexpectedly Friday afternoon, June 6, 2003 at his home. Born in Concord, N.H. on Dec. 28, 1950, he was the son of Lloyd Cooper and the late Beverly (Tuttle) Cooper. Mr. Cooper had resided in Wilmington for many years prior to moving to Bennington three years ago. Throughout his life he had been in the floor covering business and had owned and operated his own business for several years. He attended the Chapel Road Church of God in Bennington.

Mr. Cooper leaves his father Lloyd Cooper of Boscawen, N.H., his wife Elizabeth (Malasky) Cooper of Searsburg, whom he married Nov. 27, 1992 in Pittsburgh, Pa.; three sons Matthew Goddard of Brattleboro, Ryland Carr of New Boston, N.H., and Cole Cooper of Bennington; his daughter Sarah Cooper of Searsburg and a brother Wallace Cooper of Allenstown, N.H.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 10 at 10 a.m. at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home with the Rev. Amy Arnold, pastor of the Chapel Road Church of God, officiating. Friends may call at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home on Tuesday morning from 9-10 a.m. when the family will be present.
