Edith K. Boucher 1918-2008 BENNINGTON Edith K. Boucher, 89, widow of Martin J. Boucher, a former resident of Stamford, Conn. and more recently of Silk Road, Bennington, died Wednesday, March 5, at Crescent Manor Care Centers following a brief illness. Born in Williamstown, Mass. Oct. 22, 1918, daughter of the late James and Alice Demarais Aker. She received her education in Ottawa, Canada where she attended a catholic boarding school and later graduated from high school in Springfield, Mass.. Mr. & Mrs. Boucher were married at St. Francis de Sales Church in Bennington on Feb. 9, 1942. Mr. Boucher died Feb. 17, 1996 Mrs. Boucher was a very good writer and had taken many writing courses over the years. She also enjoyed reading, painting and studying history. She leaves two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Moira Boucher of Sunderland and Peter and Debra Boucher of Danbury, Conn.; four grandchildren, Correne, Jonathan, Marc and Melissa. She is also leaves several nieces and nephews She was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers, Irene, Dorothy, Beatrice, Raymond and Donald. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from the MAHAR & SON FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday March 11, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Monday March 10, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. when the family will be in attendance. The burial will take place in the family lot in the Ira Allen Cemetery. Should friends desire contributions in Mrs. Edith Boucher's memory may be made to either the Bennington Senior Citizens Center or the Bennington Rescue Squad through the office of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.]]>
