Edith E. Zindle 1928-2011 WEST ARLINGTON Edith E. Zindle, 82, formerly of West Arlington, passed away January 1, 2011 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington. Edith was born in West Arlington on December 20, 1928 the daughter of James and Clara (Wilcox) Edgerton. She received her education in Arlington schools, graduating from Arlington High School and then from St. Joseph's Business College in Bennington. Edith worked as an underwriter for J. Edward Insurance Company for many years. She was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star and enjoyed photography, movies, walking, camping, traveling, especially going on bus trips and was an avid Brooklyn Dodgers fan. Edith was also a member of the Chapel on The Green in West Arlington where her church family was a very important part of her life and she also cherished spending time with her family. Edith is survived by her brother Buddy Edgerton and his wife, Dorothy, of South Burlington; her sisters, Joy Freisatz and her husband, Robert, of Altamont, N.Y. and Ardis Clark of Ocala, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Edith will be held Wednesday afternoon January 5, 2011 at 2 p.m, at the Chapel on The Green in West Arlington. Interment will be held in the family lot in the spring in West Arlington Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the Chapel on The Green from 1 to 2p.m., one hour prior to the service.
