Obituary Condolences

DANBY -- Edward J. Jaworski, 80, a lifetime resident of Danby, passed away at home on Monday, June 19, 2006. He was born in Danby on Oct. 29, 1925, the son of Joseph and Frances (Kelb) Jaworski. He was married to Laura Lake.

He was a quarryman with Vermont Marble Co. for 42 years. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Laura of Danby; five sons, Edward of Rutland, Joseph, Robert and Alex of Danby and Eric of East Dorset; three daughters, Sharon Sendra of Danby, Diane Keyes of East Dorset and Lisa Hendee of Belmont; two sisters, Wanda Yrsha of Danby and Irene Hadley of Rutland. He was preceded in death by a son, Glen, and a daughter, Teresa.

The Mass of the resurrection will be offered Thursday, June 22, 2006, at 11 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Church in Danby, with Father John Whalen officiating. A graveside service with military honors will follow in Scottsville Cemetery in Danby. There will be a gathering at the Danby Four Corners Town Hall following the graveside service. Friends may call at the Brewster Funeral Home, 34 Park Place, Manchester Center on Wednesday, June 21, 2006, from 7 to 9 p.m., when the family will be in attendance.
