Obituary Condolences

HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- A mass of Christian burial for Edward J. O’Malley was held Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004 at Immmaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls with the Rev. Joseph Manerowski officiating.

Hymns for the mass were sung by Shari Hand and included “Be Not Afraid,” “Amazing Grace” and “On Eagle’s Wings.” In addition, “The Old Man,” a song sung by the Irish Tenor John Mc Dermott, was played after Communion.

The first and second reading from the Old Testament were read by Nicole Schultz, a granddaughter and Connor Hemeon, grandson. The prayers of the faithful were read by granddaughter, Jenna O’Malley.

The eucharistic gifts were brought to the altar by granddaughters Jenna, Dana & Alanna O’Malley.

The eulogy, written by daughter Margaret Ann O’Malley, was read by his brother John P. O’Malley.

Bearers were nephews John and Edward Reinfurt, Dennis, Tim and Peter O’Malley, Rick and Jim Roy, and son-in-law Brad Eastman.

During the commital service, Mrs. O’Malley was presented with the American flag on behalf of the president of the United States, while taps played in the background.

Arrangements were under the direction of Robson-Reinfurt Funeral Home in Hoosick Falls, N.Y.
