HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- Edward F. Laderach, 88, died Friday, April 6, 2007, at his residence on Mechanic Street Extension. He resided there with his wife of 59 years Stella (Bozek) Laderach.

Edward was born on May 24, 1918, in Valley Falls, N.Y., son of the late Fred and Mary (Klein) Laderach. He was educated at schools in Valley Falls and was a veteran of World War II. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for local 106 until retiring at age 62. Ed then moved to New Jersey to train horses for several years. He then worked as a truck driver for BTL in Walloomsac, N.Y., until the age of 80. Ed was a member of the V.F.W. Post 8417, St. Stanislaw Society and the Eagles Arie 2467, all in Hoosick Falls. He enjoyed horses all of his life.

Survivors other than his wife, Stella, include two daughters Sandy Burt and her husband, Dan, of Hoosick Falls, and Lori Wynants of Hoosick Falls; his grandchildren, Jaime Parent, Lindsey Burdick, Lucas Wynants, Scott Burt and Lynn Hemeon; and he is survived by several great-grandchildren and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Putnam.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 10 at 9:30 a.m. from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial will follow the mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.
