Edward J. Lewis Jr.

1965-2009 ARLINGTON Edward J. Lewis Jr., age 44, a resident of Warm Brook Road in Arlington, and formerly of Bennington, died unexpectedly on Friday, Nov. 27, 2009.

He was born in Bennington on Sept. 8, 1965 and was the son of the late Edward J. Lewis, Sr. and Charlene Brasie Shewell, who survives.

Edward received his education in Bennington schools.

He was employed as an orderly at the Vermont Veteran Home in Bennington for several years.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Bennington. He enjoyed playing pool, video games and spending time with his son, Brandon.

Besides his mother and son, Brandon, he is survived by his son, Rick Waters, of Bennington; and his daughter, Felicia Belcarris, of Bennington; his stepfather, Charles Tobin, of Arlington; and his "second mom," Dot Powers, of Shaftsbury. He leaves two brothers, John Powers of Shaftsbury, and Kevin Hayes of Arlington; his sister, Cindy Lyons and her husband, Scott, of Marshfield; his half brother, Randy, and half sisters, April and Brenda. Edward is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Mabel Brasie Davis, of Bennington; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is predeceased by his brother, Robert Charles Lewis Sr.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Friends are invited to call at the Vermont Veteran Home, Crispe Meeting Room on Tuesday, Dec. 1st, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Bring a memory to share.

Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
