NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Mrs. Eileen Marilyn (Graney) Urquhart, 69, of Mohawk Forest Boulevard, died Thursday morning, Oct. 21, 2004, at the North Adams Regional Hospital, where she was admitted on Friday, Oct. 15.

She was born in North Adams on June 3, 1935, a daughter of Stella (Palmer) Graney Bastien and the late Alvin Graney. She attended schools in North Adams and graduated from the Drury High School with the class of 1953. Mrs. Urquhart was last employed by Williams College in its food service deparment for more than 20 years until her retirement in 1997. She also worked part-time at West’s Variety Store in North Adams for many years.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in North Adams.

Her former husbands, Leon Richard Noel and Robert F. Urquhart, are deceased.

Survivors include her mother, Stella (Palmer) Graney Bastien of Pownal, Vt.; four sons, Glenn P. Noel of Glendale, Ariz., Keith A. Noel of Pownal, Gary S. Noel of North Adams, with whom she resided and Mark E. Noel of Custer, Wash; three daughters, Cynthia Marie Schubnel of LaCrosse, Wisc., Brenda Lee Harpin of North Adams and Lori A. Morris of Clarksburg; six grandchildren, Peter Noel, Rebecca Noel, and Jennifer Noel of Custer, Wash., Glen P. Noel of Glendale, Ariz., Samantha Schubnel of LaCrosse, Wisc. and Hunter Harpin of North Adams; and one sister, Janet Reynolds of Pownal.

A memorial service for Eileen Urquhart will be held Monday, Oct. 25, at 1 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., with the Rev. Joseph DeCosta, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
