Einar P. Michaelsen 1914 2008 WILLIAMSTOWN - Einar P. Michaelsen, 93, of 1341 Green River Rd., died Sunday Feb. 10, 2008, at Sweet Brook Care Center. Born July 5, 1914, in Brooklyn, N.Y., son of Einar and Pernelle Hansen Michaelsen, he attended local schools in Brooklyn. He received his bachelors of art degree from Mercer University, Macon, Ga. in 1949, and graduated from the Andover-Newton Theological School, Newton Center, in 1952 with a bachelors of divinity. He was the former pastor of the United Church of Christ in Stratham and Conway, N.H., the Lebanon Congregational Church, Lebanon, N.H., and the Brentford Congregational UCC Church, Brentford, S.D. While in South Dakota he was the first CROP director for Church World Services. He had also worked as an Industrial Arts Teacher for St. Anthony High School, Bennington, VT. He was a member of the Second Congregational UCC Church, Bennington, Vt. His wife, the former Margaret M. Otten, died on June 8, 2001. He leaves a son, Donald Michaelsen of Olmsted Falls, Oh., 2 daughters, Nancy White of Amherst, N.H., and Karen Michaelsen of York, England, three brothers, one sister, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his companion of many years Leony Hooks of Williamstown. He was predeceased by five brothers and a sister. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family in the Second Congregational UCC Church, Bennington, Vt. There are no calling hours.
