Elizabeth Angell 1927-2011 MANCHESTER, VT Elizabeth Angell, 83, a resident of Manchester, passed away April 7, 2011 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington. Elizabeth was born in Schenectady, N.Y., on October 26, 1927 the daughter of James and Mary (Early) Joyce. She received her education in Schenectady schools and graduated from the College of St. Rose in Albany, N.Y., where she received her Bachelor Degree. In her earlier years she worked as a ticket agent for American Airlines in Albany, New York, where she met her future husband Robert Angell. Elizabeth lived most of her life in New Jersey before moving to Manchester, Vermont in 1988. Elizabeth enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting and sewing. She loved traveling to follow her children and watch their sporting events and was an avid New York Giants football fan. Elizabeth was a member of Christ Our Savior (St. Paul Roman Catholic Church) in Manchester and cherished times spent with her family. Elizabeth is survived by her five sons; Michael Angell of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Brian and Diane Angell of Warrensburg, N.Y., Scott and Julie Angell of Falmouth, Mass., Chris and Stacey Angell of Queensbury, N.Y. and Tim and Annie Angell of St. Johnsbury, Vt., her sister and brother-in-law Joan & Julio George of Chapel Hill, N.C., eleven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert whom she married on June 27, 1953 in Schenectady, New York. Mr. Angell died December 17, 1977. A liturgy of Christian death and burial will be celebrated at Christ Our Savior (St. Paul Roman Catholic Church) in Manchester,at a date to be announced, later in the Spring.
